We are releasing this extremely limited Colombian Gesha cultivar that sounds more like science fiction than an average cup of Joe! Specialty coffee is doing some exceptionally experimental things lately, and this limited offering shows just how off-the-wall coffee producers are willing to get for the sake of a coffee that makes you do a double take.
Coffee producer and Agro-biotech genius Edwin Noreña has been experimenting with a new coffee process at his farm - Finca Campo Hermoso. If a Colombian Gesha wasn’t already unique enough, this honey process takes it to the next level by utilizing a Co-Carbonic Fermentation. During the fermentation, a galaxy hop-infused mossto is added to the containers of coffee cherries for two rounds of anaerobic fermentation. The coffee cherries are then pulped, and the unwashed seeds are then dried.
