We are very proud to highlight this special offering from the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala - the very delicious coffee of the La Morena Women Producers!
In 2016, the La Morena program was developed to give female coffee growers access to the global supply chain. This program saw a need amongst women in the Cubulco and Baja Verapaz sectors to provide for their families in ways they weren’t achieving. While the program started off small, the growers enjoyed success from that introduction to the market and their coffees and their coffees became highly sought after.
In 2023, there are now over 800 women farmers spanning the coffee-growing regions of Huehuetenango and Baja Verapaz!
